Coffe-Date: True West Coffee

It's not often that I come across a coffee shop, with small town flair and a truly unique atmosphere, but I was thrilled when I received the heads-up about a new spot located just a few miles away.
True West Coffee is perfectly stationed in the heart of downtown Hamilton, in a completely renovated Victorian house from the inside, out. From the stenciled floors, to the eclectic collection of furniture, and a strong presence of  "handmade" decor, it's everything I swoon for!
Chris and I enjoyed "T.W.C" so much, we visited again the next day, for a an extension of some one-on-one time! Not only do they provide a wide variety of coffee drinks, but also a solid variety of food selections like "The Hippie", with roasted red pepper hummus, and sun dried tomatoes on a toasted baguette and "Sun Chips"; so insanely yummy!
I'm looking forward to visiting again, soon!

Coffee Date: "Java Glaze Cafe"

I'm always on the hunt for a new hot spot to feed my caffeine addiction, so when my best buddy Cidney told me she got a job at a coffee shop, I was quick to visit her! Since Chris was off work we made it into an afternoon coffee date, and headed to the "Java Glaze Cafe"; a precious renovated victorian building with overwhelming charm! Chris opted for the "Gingerbread Latte", while I wasn't as daring and went with my usual, an "Iced Americano" with a splash of vanilla. Both drinks were very tasty (GREAT JOB CID!), and I was delighted to hear that "J.G.C" will soon offer lunch, including several Vegan options! I must say, I have a good handful of "Barista Buddies", but Cidney has stolen the top spot for my most beloved. It was the perfect afternoon, spent with two people I love dearly; and when you mix that with a caffeine fix...WOAH, WATCH OUT!

Coffee for a cause

What began as a silly suggestion, turned into my Hubby's face posted on a sign at one of our favorite coffee spots. During this holiday season, "Caribou Coffee" is showcasing the "Beans For Troops", which is as easy as donating a bag of coffee to send overseas to service men and women. Seeing that the Mr, and I are both self-proclaimed coffee addicts, we're all about sending some love to fellow soldiers through a soothing "cup of  joe".

STRIPES ARE NICE

These past couple of days have been devoted to lots of  movie watching, which has made the Sutton apartment into a cozy theater. One of my favorite things about being married(well other than the fact that... I'm married) is the extensive movie library we now have after combining both of our personal collections. It becomes quite overwhelming when trying to pick just ONE movie to watch, but nevertheless, we mesh pretty well, and inevitably so do our opinions about films. Among the extensive list of "MUST SEE" movies for Chris, was "Exit Through the Gift Shop", "Hard Candy", "Babel" and " 500 Days of Summer". Tonight, I'm thinking a Japanese thriller...

Today we braved the heat wave, enjoying a nice afternoon outside, sipping down sweating iced coffees, conversing about comic book characters, among other (nerdy) topics. It was a nice break from work related stress on both of our ends, not to mention there's always great "people-watching" that goes down at JJ's
Tomorrow will be exactly two months since Chris and I married, and already there have been many changes in our life together. With new jobs, and lots of talk about babies, there's no telling what our lives will be like in another two months, down the road! Life is just so exciting, especially when you have your best friend alongside.
