DEAR NUGGET

 Dear Nugget,
Yesterday Mama had her big "anatomy scan" ultrasound to make sure you were growing and developing properly. With grandparents and Papa in tow, the positive energy was infectious , and we knew it was the day we'd find out whether you were a boy or girl! I was so anxious, I barely got any rest the night before, and had very large butterflies as I sat in the waiting room. When the ultrasound tech announced you were in fact a girl, I was somewhat relieved, because Papa and I had already picked out the perfect name for you; we had been anticipating that you were a little lady for several weeks.
Today marks the 5 month mark in our journey together, and as the most wonderful gift I felt you move for the very first time! I'm even more in love with you than I could have ever imagined, and you've opened my eyes to such a special responsibility , that i'm so honored to have!

IT'S A....

...GIRL!

 Chris and I are absolutely thrilled with the official news, and can't seem to stop smiling! Our Nugget, is now a little miss and seems to be growing and developing perfectly. We have so much love for this little lady already and can't wait to meet her in four months! I can't get over just how quickly time is rushing by, and how tomorrow already marks my 5 month stretch; little girl will be here sooner than we know it!

4 MONTH STRETCH!

It's unbelievable to think I'm already almost midway through my pregnancy, especially when it feels like it was just yesterday that I found out I was prego. My bump is definitely beginning to make a proud appearance, forcing me to retire most of my pre-pregnancy jeans and raiding all of the loose fitting dresses in my closet. Compared to the first, the second trimester has been a breeze, and even though I still have my off days overall I've felt great! Now if only that next ultrasound date would hurry up, so we can find out the sex of little "Nugget"!

Tomorrow I'll be jet setting off to Dallas, Texas to visit my brother and sister-in-law, after what has been far too much time apart. Although I'll be enjoying some quality family time, I'm sad to have to say goodbye to the Hubs, who will be holding down the fort while I'm away. But on the brighter side, this is my first time visiting the state of Texas and I'm excited to see what sights,smells,and sounds Dallas has to offer!With this trip, I'm taking a break from the blog but will surely take plenty of photos to share once I return. Here I come Texas...YEE-HAW!

14 WEEKS: SECOND TRIMESTER!

I can't believe how fast time is flying by, because yesterday marked the first day of my SECOND trimester! Every morning I habitually check my belly growth in the mirror, hoping for an obvious change each time; It's most definitely my favorite part of being pregnant.Although it seems my headaches and nausea have no plans of subsiding anytime soon, I notice every little change with my body and honestly nothing is more amazing. At 14 weeks,  Nugget is about the size of a lemon , and can now squint, frown and suck his/her thumb!

Along with this exciting new pregnancy stepping stone, we also received some long-awaited news regarding the new apartment, and will be moving in just over one week! Regardless to say the Hubs and I spent a good chunk of the evening packing, patching holes, and doing some deep cleaning around the apartment. We're not only thrilled to have more living space, but to finally have a nursery and be able to relieve my parents from storing all of our baby furniture! Although moving day is only 3 days before my trip to Dallas, it might be a bit hectic, but I'm more than ready to settle into our new home.

13 WEEKS:LETTERS TO BABY

Dear Nugget,

Today was mine and Papa's second time seeing you via ultrasound, and GOODNESS how much you've grown in only six weeks! You were very active today, kicking out those long legs, and rolling every which way; I couldn't take my eyes off of you. We are so anxious to know whether you're a little man or lady, and although the ultrasound tech wrote down what she "thinks" you are, we won't be 100% positive for several more weeks.  After the appointment Papa and I went out to lunch and decided to open the sealed envelope together, and although nothing is for absolute certain, we are confident you are in fact what she determined. Regardless the doctor confirmed you're growing perfectly, which couldn't make us happier, and as for Mama everything has been great(thanks for going easy on me, this past week). We feel so blessed to be able to experience such a miracle, and we are more than thrilled with each passing day. You've already brought such a brightness to our lives, and will be the most precious addition to our family.

LETTERS TO BABY

Dear Nugget,
Two days ago I discovered you were in my belly. Papa was working hard on the railroad, and I sat alone at home, feeling very curious since I had been feeling a bit under the weather for the past few weeks. I knew in my heart, there was something different happening with my body, and I didn't want to wait until my doctor's appointment later in the week, so I took a pregnancy test right then. I anxiously waited for the results to show, and without hesitation two blue lines appeared, to assure that you were in fact in my belly. Although I was in shock, I began to cry and thank God, because Papa and I have been patiently waiting for you!

Today the three of us went to the doctor's office to make the exciting news official, and we had our very first appointment together!According to the Doc, you're 7 weeks along which means you're about the size of a blueberry, and in two weeks we get to hear your heartbeat for the very first time! My appetite is already on the rise, and even though I have insane heartburn, I couldn't have ever imagined a better birthday present.

A TEENY TINY ANNOUNCEMENT!

Chris and I are overwhelmed with excitement to announce, that after six months on the baby train, we're PREGNANT!!!

 We're so ready to tackle the beginning of this amazing journey, and have already received such joy from knowing the little "bunny to be's" initial existence!
I'm going to be someone's MOMMY, and I couldn't be happier!
